Maude Bouchard has developed expertise in research and analysis, both in management and funding patterns of cultural organizations through several years of working within cultural organizations, research groups and consulting teams.
A graduate in management of cultural organizations at HEC Montréal in 2003, Maude worked between 2007 and 2010 on the CURA Research Project at HEC Montréal: “Financial crises in the arts sector: prevention rather than cure” led by Professor Johanne Turbide. In this project, she assisted in the development of the methodology, conducted interviews and participated in the codification and analysis. Still with CURA research group, she participated in the analysis of financial statements of certain cultural sectors and diagnosed organizations in crises.
Since May 2008 Maude has been part of ArtExpert’s team. She worked on strategic planning projects and was involved as Director of Research and Interviews for many studies. Until 2015, Ms. Bouchard led research at ArtExpert, skilfully reflecting the portrait of cultural realities at both the Canada and the local levels. Endowed with research and other skills, including the frequent use of available research tools, her years at ArtExpert allow her to acquire a thorough knowledge of the issues related to the cultural territory in a socio-economic and political context. At ArtExpert, she now acts as a consultant specializing in data analysis.
