Jérôme Payette, Researcher, analyst

Jérôme Payette has completed a Specialized Graduate Diploma in Management of Cultural Organisations at HEC Montréal and a Jazz Performance Degree from Université de Montréal. Interested in cultural development and its links to civil society, Jérôme has taken Culture Montréal as a case study for his Master of Science in Administration (M.Sc.) thesis at HEC.

Jérôme is an active musician on Quebec’s scene since 2001, and has worked in various cultural organisations. During a management internship at New York’s Lumen Art Gallery, Jérôme helped conceive a strategic plan for the newly opened business. He has worked as a Development Agent at Jeunesses Musicales du Canada, and organised various professional musical events.

While at Université de Montréal, Jérôme was elected vice-president of his student association, and co-founded l’Agence Musicale Étudiante, a booking office for the student/musicians.

Before joining ArtExpert.ca’s team, Jérôme Payette has already put his analytical skills, systemic thought and leadership to the service of cultural development and creativity. Jérôme is involved on the cultural scene, notably as a member of Culture Montreal’s Diversity Committee. At ArtExpert.ca, Jérôme is assigned as a research agent to artistic, cultural and socio-political projects.
